This English Father Christmas was inspired by an old Christmas greeting card designed by Arthur Joseph Gaskin (1862-1928) who studied at the well known Birmingham School of Art in the United Kingdom. Gaskin became known for his wonderful illustration in “Stories and Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Andersen”, as well as “Good King Wenceslas”.
