1922 Father Christmas - Memories of Santa

In England, Father Christmas was often depicted with a basket full of toys on a pull sled. Very unusual though, he is shown with a lavender robe, purple and lavender were colors usually reserved for royalty. By doing this the artist may be raising Father Christmas to Royal status.
